Online YouTube Videos

At the request of Terry Wood, the education coordinator at the Easy Does It Club in Surrey, BC and several readers of my books, I am creating a complete a series of videos on addiction and recovery from a psychological perspective. These videos are a general overview of the psychology of addiction that I explain in my book, The Addiction Recovery Handbook.

More Importantly: These are intended to increase knowledge about addiction for addicts in recovery, caregivers who aid them, religious organizations, professionals, politicians, and the general public. The general naiveté, social ignorance, and misinformation about the addiction crisis is a definite factor in the increasing calamity and thousands of deaths from addiction, and the high failure rate of treatment. The goal here is to educate people about addiction and what we are up against.

Copy/paste the following title into the Youtube website and you will get the series. The first one is:

Psychology of Addiction / Richard W. Clark - Video #1A - Introduction Part 1

It is important to view them as they are numbered, in sequence. Eventually, I expect there to be about twenty videos of about 20 - 30 minutes each. As of May 2023, I have completed the first 14 that are available for viewing on YouTube. Hopefully I'll have them all done by the end of 2025.
